We’re back with another great Tuesday Tip from style expert, Lindsay Albanese.

You know that temperamental zipper you’ve had in your life, where its doesn’t seem to be broken, it just keeps sticking!!?? It happens to me a lot, especially with vintage clothing or those big, exposed zippers you see a lot of.

TIP: Unzip the zipper, and take a pencil and rub the lead on top of the teeth inside the zipper. The lead will create a barrier allowing that zipper to do its job again, with ease! Be careful with white or light colored clothing.

Victory!

Brand: Cosabella, Free People, Elle Macpherson, Freya

Details: Our lovely contributor, Jenny Altman of ILOVEAGOOD, gave us the low down on longline bras…..If you have been noticing a lot of these longer length bras, you are not alone. Longline bras, amongst other retro-inspired foundations, have made a big comeback this year. These bras are made to fit and flatter every body shape, regardless of bra size. Some of them add extra support, some add extra shaping, and some just make us feel gorgeous. By adding a little extra length below the bust, they give the look of a vintage corset with the modern technology all of us need. Often made of lace, they are truly a delicate, beautiful new addition to the bra market.

Here are a few of her favorite longline bras:

Cosabella’s Bellissima Strapless Cropped Bustier

Free People’s Secret Garden Lace Bra

The Elle Macpherson Cloud Swing Contour Bra

Freya’s Nieve Sapphire Padded Longline Bra

Price: $38 – $151

Added Plus: A little birdie at Cosabella told ILOVEAGOOD how she got the longline bra featured above added into the line by sneaking it on a mannequin just in time for a big retailer visit. We don’t care how it got there, we’re just glad the buyer loved it so much that they bought it and that Cosabella added to their line for good!

A Conversation with Vanessa Shokrian: Editorial Stylist

Vanessa Shokrian began her career at GQ working as a sittings assistant under the leadership of renowned Creative Director, Jim Moore. Her responsibilities entailed working with leading celebrity talent and photographers on cover and fashion shoots. Since her time at GQ, Vanessa has extended her range of expertise from editorial to red carpet events, worldwide celebrity press tours, music videos and commercial/advertising. Her professionalism is complemented by creative talent, managerial skills and sociability.

Tell us the story behind your favorite wardrobe item

Vanessa: My favorite wardrobe item is a Marc Jacobs Collection cocktail dress that I got at Decades Two. My mom picked it out from the rack and pushed me to try it on. I told her I would never wear it, but after trying it on, saw that it was one of the most beautiful dresses. It was unique & girly yet sexy. Right up my alley. Lessoned learned: my mom knows what she’s talking about. She has great taste and she has actually influenced me a lot as far as style and taste.

What’s your most memorable ‘panic moment’?

Vanessa: I was working at GQ Magazine in New York. It was after midnight and another assistant and I were bringing wardrobe back to the office from a big shoot. We were so exhausted and were struggling to pull a wobbly rack of clothes through a doorway, when her side of the rack collapsed on her head, causing some really scary bleeding and a call to 911. Thankfully she was ok, after a staple to the head.

How did you recover from is gracefully?

Vanessa: We were all able to laugh about the situation the next day.

What is your favorite era for fashion?

Vanessa: 1970s. That era influences and inspires me the most.

What was your big break?

Vanessa: Getting a job at GQ Magazine working under legendary creative director, Jim Moore.

Whose closet would you most like to raid?

Vanessa: I would love to raid Alexa Chung’s closet.

Who are your favorite designers?

Vanessa: Alexander Wang, The Row, Acne, Margiela.

This Tuesday Tip is takin’ it back to the old school. Sometimes a simple rubberband is all you need!

I wore this silk blazer to a shoot last week and the sleeves were slinky, and wouldn’t stay up. They kept falling down and were bugging me, bad! Soooooo, I did it, I slipped a rubber-band on each sleeve and hid it within the fabric. DONE! It handled the sleeve situation and I highly recommend this “technique” when your sleeve sitch calls for it!

Thanks Lindsay! We’re running to stock up on some rubber bands just in case.
